The names don't always have to match the original and you can change them yourself but you must make sure that the names and path match exactly what's in the addons.txt or it won't work. Buttons that were on it before it should be just a matter of renaming the new software's.exe file exactly as the old was and putting it in the same location the old.exe was, as mentioned by Fatboyfun above. Are the names and paths exactly the same as previously on the device and in that addons.txt file? If one character is wrong it probably won't work, and quite possibly when using a file like addons.txt to run the shell they might be case sensitive too, so the upper/lower case might have to match in the path & executable's entries. I know that an icon only works as a pictorial shortcut for executing the software it represents, so I presume I somehow need to create or find an icon and ensure that when touched the iGO8 software is booted.
